Finally stalled on my 5x5.

I knew it was inevitable but it finally happened today. I was working my B workout on the SL 5x5. Squats went great. Got to the standing OHP. First set great, little tough but liking it. Second set, got my 5 and felt a little tweak between my shoulder blades. Third set got to rep 3 and bam. Had nothing left. Sets went like this:

65 1x10
95 1x5
115 1x5
145 2x5 1x3
135 1x5

Still feeling the tweak between the shoulder blades. Pissed that I stalled because I felt good until something in upper back went crazy. Still completed my dead lifts warm up and work set but dam that sucks. Just wanted to share with you guys. I don't have OHP's again until Wed of next week so hopefully I can try 145 again and nail it.
 
Dam bro, IDK but it sounds like to me maybe pinched or impinged a nerve maybe. You are doing these standing correct? Make sure you press that weight well behind your head. Coming down as for me I dont go any lower then my mouth/chin. I had a tater cuff repair and I dont need or want that extra stretch. Also going up and coming down make as if you are trying to pull the bar apart with your hands and keep your wrists str8, dont let them fold over backwards.
When you come back I would not try for that 145 bro. I know you wanna but I would drop it back 15-20% and build back up. Good luck brother and I hope the very best for you I know it sucks being injured.
 
Thanks Zed for the advice bro! Yes I am doing them standing. As humbling as it is you are right. I will drop it back a little and work back up. I would rather do that than take a chance of putting myself out for a while. I'll go home and ice it after work tonight and hope for the best. May try to just go to chin like you were saying because I have been coming down to my chest with these. Hell it only hurts when I turn my neck. Lol Thanks again for the look bro.

Back feeling much better this am Zed after some ice last night. I don't know what I did but it was crazy. 145 really isn't that heavy considering I see alot of guys on here doing 165 and beyond but nonetheless have to listen to the body. I just don't want that excersize to lag while others continue to increase.
 
Just dont get in a rush bro. You got plenty of time to increase. Every single time I rush then I get an injury and that really sets me back big time. So even if it puts you back a few days, well worth in the long run as opposed to several weeks.
 
De loaded to 115 today zed. Felt good. Next ohp day will be 125. Humbling man humbling. At this rate two more b workouts ill be staring 145 back in the face by a week from friday as long as the back cooperates.
