CKD – Starting on Monday, Please help

Hey Guys
I am going to start a CKD cycle on Monday and give it a try for about two – three weeks. I am very nervous about starting a new diet, I have been following the BFL program for about two years but need a change, so Im going to give this a try.

I currently weigh about 121 ponds, and this is my food intake chart according to Mr X’s calculations:

Day 1 – Cal = 1379.4 - Fat = 130g - Protein = 52g - Carbs = Less than 20g
Day 2 – Cal = 1306.8 - Fat = 109g - Protein = 82g - Carbs = Less than 20g
Day 3 – Cal = 1234.2 - Fat = 89g - Protein = 108g - Carbs = Less than 20g
Day 4 – Cal = 1452 - Fat = 113g - Protein = 109g - Carbs = Less than 20g
Day 5 – Cal = 1306.8 - Fat = 102g - Protein = 98g - Carbs = Less than 20g
Day 6 – Cal = 1234.2 - Fat = 89g - Protein = 108g - Carbs = Less than 20g
Day 7 – Cal = 1887.6 - Fat = 21g - Protein = 94 - Carbs = 330

Firstly, it looks like a lot of fat, I didn’t think that the fat was going to outnumber the protein intake, so this has confused me with meal planning.

I need some help with the first week, If you guys could please post some sample plans up for me that would really be great!!!!!! This is what Ive come up with so far. I need some qty’s if you guys could please help out with that:

Meal 1: Bacon & Eggs/ Omelet & Cheddar Cheese
Meal 2: Boiled Egg Salad (Are we allowed mayonnaise on this diet)
Meal 3: Tuna Salad (Tuna, cucumber & lettuce)/ Salmon and Egg salad with olive oil/ Chicken Salad
Meal 4: Baked fish with broccoli and olive oil dressing
Meal 5: Beef Jerkey
Meal 6: Burger patty with a slice of cheddar cheese

I also need to know how to cook these foods, for example: Are we allowed to fry foods in cooking oil or should we rather use non fat pan spray? And I read on one of these threads that someone used mayo in their tuna salad? Is this allowed

Id appreciate any help J
Thanks

Your meal plan is acceptable. You are a little short on omega 3's, add some flax seed oil and/or fish oil tabs. The mayo is allowed. Also, you need a few more raw veggies. Add an extra salid or two every day. It takes alot of romaine lettace and brocolli to get 20 grams of carbs. Bear in mind not all of the listed carbs for these foods are absorbable. Grab a paperback copy of Dr. Adkins New Diet Revolution, it gives a good breakdown of how many grams one actually can absorb from alot of foods.

Thanks guys

Yes I have been on c-k-d.com but didnt post my message there, I think I will just to get some more advice

Thanks :)

frying is perfectly fine, thats what you want is the fat,but count it in as your total daily cals.good luck with the diet
