has anybody ever broke there humorus bone before???
If so how long did it take until u started cycling again or started lifting heavy? just curious cause im itching so start a small fina cycle.

i've been out of my brace for a month now.

thanks

I feel bad for you

Humorous??? DAMN! Thats some serious shit...
I wouldnt lift till at least 6 months have passed.
Even at that, it should only be 5-20% of your max.
It will take a long time to heal and it wont be ever the same integrity as your old arm. You needs lots of calcium
to accelerate bone healing. Dont do anything that stresses it for awhile when its healing or it might heal the wrong way. I didnt break my humorous but I had a compact fracture(broke both the ulna and radius).
It took me at least a year to even lift a 10 pound dumbbell for decent reps. It takes time but you'll recover
with proper supplementation. You need to be consistent with your training but take it slowly.
The second year I was curling 35lbs dbell for reps. Third year I was back at my former strenght curling 55lbs dbell. Now its my fourth year since the incident and Im curling 75lbs dbell.
I fear that your case might be more serious since the humurous is stressed greatly in basically all pressing movement. The arm you broke will be very small after awhile and your other arm will compensate.

I almost commited suicide cuz when they took the cast off, my former 18incher turn to 13in. And my left arm was still big so it was very weird to see.
Till now, Im still asymetrical but its not as bad as it used to be. Your main goal for now should be maintenance to prevent any drastic muscle loss till your bone heals.
Just hang in there and get well soon

Thanks bro for the advice!

my doctor said that I could be lifting heavy again come late september earily october. I am already curling a 12lb dumbel and my forearm strengh is about 90% recovered. I can bench about 25lbs on the hammer strengh machine (with my bad arm of course) I can do lat pull downs with about 50lbs. but the only thing that i am truly weak at is my tri's, I cant do any kind of shoulder press and only about 10lbs on a tri pulldown machine. everyday I am doing something that I couldnt do the day before!

I personally think I will be lift heavey again come the end of septemer hopfully:D

Hey Stiff,

I've never broken a bone before, but I'm gonna give you some advice anyway. The only real injury I've suffered in the last couple years is a torn bicep tendon. The thing that makes me a dumbass here is that the initial injury was just a strain. I actually tore it by trying to be a tough guy in the gym and lift too much too soon.

The result is that eight months later, I only have about 75% strength left in my left bi, and I still have pain doing curls. Doc says it will likely never get back to 100%. If that's not bad enough, my right arm is 1.5" bigger than my left, and if i here one more masturbation joke, someone's gonna get hurt.

The moral of the story, be smart during your rehab time on that arm. Don't do too much too fast.

i snapped my humorous in half on my left arm when i was 16 - 17. It was awful and the bone snapped in such a way that the two ends of it were jagged and were constantly cutting my muscle up. Probably the most painful 4 months of my life. I'm 24 now and my left arm is significantly weaker and thinner than my right - especially on the tricep area. I never did rehab (wasn't told about it and dind't know about rehab) when they removed the cast. I'm hopin that when i start liftin i can get my left arm up to size.

Well thanks for all the replies guys, I plan on taking it slow but man i is so hard to know that u can lift more wieght but have to hold back:(

listen to your body - and get specialists to do routine checks on your bone integrity (if possible) - i've heard that by design, our muscles aren't strong enough to break the bones that they originate from, however if your body tells u STOP IM GONNA SNAP, then maybe u should listen to it.
