Yoru thoughts on milk

Hey guys, I wanted to get your thoughts on milk. Since Ive started working out 4 months ago, I cut out all the crap I was drinking like soda's and energy drinks and now I only drink water, diet green tea and skim milk. I only use the milk in my protein shakes but I drink them in the mornings with breakfast and before I go to bed. Ive always loved milk so I figured the skim milk would be better for me. I usually pour up around 15 oz in each shake. Should I adjust this or cut it out altogether or what? Just looking for opinions. I appreciate any and all input.

I love my skim milk. My family of 5 goes through 3 gallons a week. I say keep on drinking it. If you plan on competing then you should talk to someone with experience to see if it fits your diet. If you don't compete then no problem.

i dont see why there is a problem, i drink it with my protein shakes all the time, especially the skim milk thats fat free. i say no problem keep doing it

If you're trying to lose fat, cut out milk all together. It doesn't matter that your milk is fat free. The human body is not meant to digest milk. Milk from cows is meant for other cows. Period.

I used to be obsessed with milk. I drank it ALL the time, then when I began a diet to lose fat I decided skim milk would be fine because it had no fat. But one day my ex convinced me to cut out milk all together. I changed nothing else about my diet or exercise routine and I lost a noticeably larger amount of fat than I was while I was drinking skim milk.

So yeah, if you're trying to lose fat, I say cut it.

I drink milk when i'm bulking..usually 20 oz a day.
can cause a bit of bloat tho, so depends on your goals.

Well I am trying to lose a little more fat. I cant seem to get it off around my waist. Im not fat by any means. Im 5'9" about 170 lbs but I am 34 so I have a little flab I cant get rid of there. Seems like not matter how much cardio I do I cant get it off. I didnt know if it was the milk or carbs or age or what. What else can i do?

this is a debate that can rage forever.

my stance as a former milk drinker is stay the hell away.

the milk that is sold in the supermarket is zapped, it is far from organic or free or hormones etc. it has no health benefits aside from what the dairy industry puts out in their misleading ads. it has a ton of fat and a ton of sugar. BLOAT. and its extremely difficult to digest. dont believe me? drink a glass of milk, then sprint for a mile. then let me know how that goes.
