so I have a bit of a potential dilemma
when I was fed up with not being moved in the auto group I spammed my resume pretty much everywhere
got pretty much no response but eventually got the current job...that has promise but the money can be a bit unsteady and some pretty strong undesirables (third shift for a few weeks at a time and its 7 days a week 365 a yr unless I sub out my shit) but some strong desirableness too..my base pay is ok and the hrs for the base pay are pretty easy/relaxed
so I get a random phone call for a place I had spammed with my resume several months ago and did the first interview...well I have the second interview tomorrow and its strongly looking like I have the job
now the hrs/daycare sitch would all change but the base pay for this place was surprisingly higher than I expected and reviews of it as an employer look good...all of the employees seem happy/not disgruntled to be working there which I take as a good sign. Also several of the employees have been there for yrs; Ive been a patron of this place for years so know the place really well.
so now Im stuck looking at getting and keeping both jobs which will be doable until next summer but probably lying to my current employer about it....in this job market I never thought I'd be looking at dealing with this and it actually really sucks.
I don't think there's any chance I wont take the other job but have to figure out how I'm temporarily minimizing the impact on the current job which may be very difficult for about another month.
meh
why do they wait forever to call/start interviewing people?
