but can someone that is "oh so wise" explain to me the difference between regular and natural peanut butter? Maybe I'm a little dense (that is a possibility) but when I compare labels, I don't really see that big of a difference and sometimes none at all. Thanks!

I too have a question about this. I mean, since I'm somewhat poor and can't really afford the expensive ANPB, I just eat Jiff. What are the downfalls of eating Not natural peanut butter? Also, if it's really that much of a + to Jiff, can I just buy peanuts and make my own peanut butter, would that be ANPB or are those peanuts grown with pesticides and herbicides too?
Making your own PB would be better than the Jiff. As for the peanuts you use, doesn't really matter. You can bet that Jiff uses pesticides, etc on their peanuts, so it's really trivial. You may find it to be a little more effort than it's worth (making your own vs. buying ANPB). I get my ANPB from Trader Joes....is about $2 a jar (organic a little more) if you go with their brand.
Depending on how much you eat & how stringently you diet, it may not make that much difference. I eat Skippy Light. It actually has less fat than ANPB, but the breakdown isn't as clean. A 750g jar usually lasts me 2 months or so, so I don't think it's a big deal.
I just gotta stop eating alfredo sauce like soup, LOL.
