yeah...but he is a big boy. us big boys need man food! Protein and good carbs!

Big boys should also be eating vegetables...didn't your mother teach you anything? You need the fiber and nutrients they provide. (Yes, you can take a multivitamin, but it's better to get it from the natural source.)

Drop the bars! Never use them. I used to use them all the time. I got fat from them. Once I dropped them...man did I start to get ripped! Dude, come on! There are always ways around this. Take a thermos with you and put a really thick shake in there. That will fill you up. Or use a shake that has oatmeal and protein. That too does the job. Or take a turkey sandwhich with you. Just say you really have to go to bathroom to do a #2 and when your in the bathroom...just hide and eat that son of a bitch sandwhich! Say you forgot something in your car. Go eat a sandwhich or shake! But never eat bars bro!

Well, bars are an easy source of protein and vitamins, but are a source for too many carbs. However, i dont have the adequate time to move into the kitchen and cook every evening.

Shakes...havent had one in close to a year now. Every time i was downing a shake, i was gaining a pound. Once i hit 250lbs, what is the need to get any heavier? When in fact, i could afford to lose a couple of pounds.

cwick...get the zero sugar carb sense nitrotech bars and/or myoplex bars......decent taste and about 30g of protein.....low carb and pretty low fat...by far the best out there.....

Carth (and any others that have a knowlegable opinion on the matter) what is the problem with bars? I know most are full of sugars and too many carbs but not all of them. I use a bar that has 220 cals, 26g protein, 1g sugar, 16g carbs and 6g of fat. Am I missing something? I can eat whenever I want but just find these convenient but if these are inhibiting be for some reason I'm not aware of I'd like to know it.

It's the high sugar high carb ones you need to stay away from.....look at your physique......are you happy? Are you making progress? Are you putting on weight in the right places....than continue to do what you are doing.....like said, I eat one about 4 or so times a week before I train, so maybe I'm buring mine off, but my bodyfat is incredibly low.....
