Hello everyone - could you please review this diet. I need to lose about 40 pounds of fat (while retaining the muscle I have) .... here is the diet

80-100oz water a day
Multi Vitamin (100-200%)
Lean Boneless chicken strips coated with pork rinds as breading
Broccoli
Boiled Eggs/Scrambled eggs
Peanut Butter (all natural)
Lean Meats
Salads

I need advice on any other nutrients to take ... etc - and any advice for the diet!

I would work your diet out to include amounts of these foods and the number of grams of carbs, fats, and protein you plan on ingesting. Just too tough to figure it out without exact quantities and such. Also, I would substitute the Peanut Butter for Flax Oil, almonds, or walnuts. Just to keep the saturated fat at bay.

?

All natural peanut butter contains 100% ground peanuts.

Add oatmeal, brown rice, yams/sweet potatoes and dried beans to the list as your carb sources, fish/flax/udo's oil as your fat source and fish as an extra protein source.

Now you need to determine your caloric intake and macro breakdown.

I hate to recommend my posts... but in this case, you could do much worse than read this:

http://www.elitefitness.com/forum/showthread.php?t=375450

Read that one and then follow the link to the original post, where I lay down my complete program (training, cardio and diet).

Another useful link for you would be this calculator and the thread that originates it: http://www.elitefitness.com/forum/showthread.php?t=374938

Sorry to just give links, but we answer these questions basically every day. People, before posting, you need to research. There is so much info here...

By the way, you are not alone, but this is a 2 way street.
