This is my first time really trying to diet consistently. I'm sick of these fucking love handles. I will be posting weekly pictures of my progress, as well as measurements. I'm trying to get rid of the damn love handles and jelly roll. Below is a link to an Excel file which you might find useful, but it's also my diet. Once it's open, click on Sheet 2 at the bottom to find a breakdown of my diet.

I'll be getting up in the morning and taking NYC and putting on Yohimburn and doing the stairstepper for 30 mins on MWF, and maybe run by the lake on the weekend. I'll be working out M and W and doing large compound movements like power cleans, squats, benches, etc.

I'll be drinking crystal light on MWF, and iced green tea on T Th Sa Su.

I've tried a CKD diet and can't do it during school with exams and stuff. It messes with my head.

I'm 5'10", 195lbs. (gained about 10lbs in a couple months)

Download: http://www.poofchairs.com/mydiet.xls

And here's a pic I took...I can't get any good ones taking them by myself. I'll get more "before" pics up when I can get my g/f to take them for me.

Any help and motivation is greatly appreciated. Thanks to everyone on this board.

your diet and workout look good
you're getting good fats from walnuts too so at least if you aint taking flax you're getting some fat from a good source (you could just try mixing it with your shake, it will mask the taste which by the way im actually starting to like lol)

From your pic you look like you've got a good base you can just see some definition in your abs, i think if you stick to the diet you'll lose the fat and you'll cut up nicely!

Good luck bro! :fro: keep us posted!

just curious but how long did you stay on the ckd, and how did it mess with your head???

Looks like your on the right track with your diet, good job bro.

Just lightheaded, couldn't remember stuff right away, I felt stupid. So I figure there's no way I'm doing that if I have to study for tests and whatnot. I did it for only two weeks. I couldn't take much more of that crap. I felt like barfing sometimes, too.

Is it ok to snack on pickles and sunflower seeds (with the shells) if I get cravings? Pickles have pretty much no calories, but sunflower seeds do. But its good fat. And it gives me something to do.

The tuna in the stay-fresh pouches is damn good. I was gonna invent a can opener that would allow you to open the tuna can, drain it, and toss it without any tuna touching your hands. So much for that idea....

And should I switch meal 3 with meal 5? I figure the cottage cheese before bed is a better idea. And plus I won't have tuna breath during my late night bed aerobics

A few thoughts...

#1. You are making it to complicated....
#2. I would just stick to 100g Carbs, 300g proteins, 45g fat
#3. Have one cheat day or meal a week....
#4. Rest of the days...stick to the diet....
#5. Pickles are loaed with sodium...
#6. Kick up cardio to 5-6 days/week...for 45-60mins...
#7. rotate calories from 1800-2200....
#8. If I had your body I would be eating ZERO carbs and drop lb's like crazy....
#9. Stay focused....Put up signs near any binge type foods that say..."Go to bed you fat fuck"...this may help...

"#1. You are making it to complicated.... "

If I don't write out exactly what I'm going to eat, then I won't do it correctly. This is the only way that I can easily stick to a plan. The spreadsheet just helped me get my ratios right, and I can add and subtract something and it calculates it automatically.

"#5. Pickles are loaed with sodium... "

I'm fine with the sodium and the bloat, especially for the first few weeks. As long as it curbs my cravings, calorie free. Will the sodium negatively affect my diet, or just make me retain water?

"#6. Kick up cardio to 5-6 days/week...for 45-60mins..."

This seems excessive...won't it burn my muscle away?

"#9. Stay focused....Put up signs near any binge type foods that say..."Go to bed you fat fuck"...this may help..."

I made a point to throw out anything that isn't in my diet, and not buy anything that isn't. That way I can't walk by the fridge and eat some ice cream or something. I was at home for spring break and my mom made like a million cookies and I ended up eating most of them. Which is why I'm going on a diet!

The other suggestions are good, like cycling my calories. I might try that. Thanks for the help NJ

By Complicated I was talking about your variety of foods...keep it simple...! I see alot of potential in you...The cardio should be walking on an incline...at a speed of 3.7 Incline 15...you will not burn muscle....TRUST ME.

I actually do 15 at 3.5 and then drop to 3.2. Sometimes it hurts my shins. I hate it b/c I have to walk for like a damn hour. I just did 20 mins on the stairstep. I gotta work up to longer times. Haven't done cardio in a while!

I'm pretty excited to see my results in a couple weeks. And I'm definitely going to take pictures. Maybe Monday and Thursday.

And for my carb up, should I eat like a box of cereal in a day or what?
