Whats up fellas I've read diiferent thing on Tris. Some people perfer to train alone others with Bi's and than some on chest day which I have been doing due to the fact that traing chest gets the tris a little work also. But Chest is probably my favorite day in the gym and my intensity is always up,but alot of times by the time Im done with my chest routine.I'm worn out and really don't feel like hitting tris which in return is making my Tri workout alot less perductive. Now what would be a good split to do with the Tris.

Your tris are getting blasted enough from heavy bench then, just do some accessory work (kickbacks, or extensions) to clean up the tris after benching.

right now i'm training tris on my shoulder day. i train shoulders first, and then hit tris. i like it because i can give my tris a bit of a warm up because normally i start off db overhead presses (provided i didn't just do incline bench that week...that always destroys my anterior delts for a few days). it's also cool because training shoulders really isn't that taxing. i have yet to see stars or get nauseous from a shoulder workout.

on my last split, i was doing tris after chest, and i guess that worked out ok. you obviously can't use as heavy weight because they get worked a fair amount in your chest pressing movements.

Yes, but also there's not much of a NEED to use a heavier weight. If they're not able to lift as much as they could if they were worked first, point still stands, you're working out your triceps. And that's what this is all about, right? Training a body part. You work it, it gets tired, you rest. Fuckin' rinse and repeat.

By the by, in NO WAY meant as a flame or whatever to you, super. Just saying what I truly feel.

I agree.
Tri's are a support muscle, train them as such. Not saying dont wail on them, but dont dedicate a day to them either. I go chest/tricep/traps.

I like to put chest and tri together, but the tris are the primary mover in my bench press, so...

I would do traps with shoulders and/or back. Mainly because that little section of traps up by your neck is NOT the majority of the traps. Your traps extend to the middle of your back, and over to the edges of the shoulder blades on each side. If you hit them separately from back, then you may be hitting them twice, which COULD interfere with recovery/growth.

Hi! Well, I usually group my triceps with biceps on a day of their own or I will split them up with chest or shoulders. You could try doing triceps and shoulders on the same day or group your tri's with back day, as the triceps are barely used when you do back and will remain fresh. I still think though, that doing triceps after chest is a good idea...this is what I currently do. If your chest is a strong body part, then maybe you can afford to hit it hard and heavy quickly and then move onto triceps in the same workout without becoming too tired to give them your all.

If nothing else, couple them with other bodyparts until you find what works best for YOU! That is what's important. I could go on and on telling what works for me, but all that might not be best for your body type and energy levels.
I hope this helps you out! For more fitness tips, advice and info, feel free to visit my personal training website @ http://members.shaw.ca/muscleman/

i have to hit them with bench, and by there self, i tried with biceps a few times and get to pumped, can't hardly move my arms. (got a shit load of stretch marks this way also)

I dedicate thursdays to Bi's and tri's.
like big bad buff said, I've had days where my arms were SOOO pumped, I could barely even move them.... The only muscle i work on wed is abs, so both my bis and tris are ready to be raped on thursday
