Notjake11's Test Infusion Log

The weekend was an absolute blast. The Hurricane Heat was more of a test of toughness than anything else - it was FUCKING COLD out. Being immersed chest deep in water at 6:30am when it was still only 34 degrees outside and then having to continue working your way through various challenges, feats and tasks for another couple hours was a challenge. To be honest, I was a little disappointed with that part of the day as we did the whole event as a group. Those of us that finished a task quickly had to sit and wait for the rest of the group to get through.

The race itself was great. I was a bit tired and tight from the HH, but accomplished all the physical challenges and made a decent time. I'm debating going up to Charlotte in two weeks to run the Spartan Sprint there without having done the HH to see how fast I can complete the course. I'm also going to start training for the longer events they run - the Super Spartan and the Spartan Beast - so I can complete the trifecta. I don't think I can quite get to the point of being ready for the Death Race this year, but I think next fall I will enter.

As for the cycle, I'm continuing to make progress every single time I enter the gym. After taking yesterday off to recover from the Spartan events, I got up this morning and went for a nice four mile run. Later when I hit the weights I went up five pounds on each of my three Chest/Shoulder lifts today (bench, incline and military) and still completed all for 5x5. The sheer increase in strength I've experienced over the course of the last six weeks has been absolutely amazing.

Anyone who has been reading this regularly has heard that I've continuously hit my full 5x5 every single workout for over six weeks now despite moving up 30-50 pounds in some exercises. Well today was the day I finally hit a failure. I have had a VERY long week covering for other managers on vacation and putting in 12-14 hour days so I was definitely not at my best and haven't had enough sleep. Nevertheless I stuck with the plan and I went up to 245 on bench press today. I put up the first two sets with relative ease. Third set was tough and on the fourth set I finally asked for a spot. I still got all five reps but the fifth was a close call - the rep probably took a good 10 seconds to complete. Fifth set I got three and finally had to get help on the fourth and fifth reps. That marks the first failure I've had in this progression. I will try the same weight on Monday when I should be better rested and see if I can put it up. Then Friday of next week will be the last chest workout of the cycle and I'll try to max out and see if I can top the 285 from last time.

Dspark and DAA will be a very nice follow up to Test Infusion!

Yeah I'm pretty excited about trying the new product out and using it to bring me from the SARM cycle into my first injectible cycle.

I'm going to be posting a big update later today. Have had some fantastic progress the last few days and have hit some personal bests both in my running/training and in my lifts.

As mentioned earlier today, I have had some fantastic workouts the last few days. I ran both Saturday and Sunday this weekend with the former being a 5.3 mile trail race where I shaved another 10 seconds per mile off my race pace and the latter being a more casual 5 mile road run that also shaved some time of my best run on that "course" as well.

With respect to weights, after finally hitting a wall at 245 last week on the 5x5 for bench I gave it a go again yesterday and pumped out all 25 reps. The fourth set was a bit of a struggle to finish but the adrenaline kicked in and the fifth set was probably the smoothest and easiest of the five. I moved up to 215 on incline bench and hit all five sets for that as well, but finally hit failure on the seated barbell press when I tried to go to 160 (first two sets went up but burnout hit on the third).

There is no question that my upper body mass has improved dramatically over the course of the last two months. I'm getting my bodpod done on Friday both to compare to the numbers from the beginning of this cycle and to serve as the starting point for my PCT that will include D-Spark and DAA. Big Rick Rock chose me to be a logger for that and in addition to tracking my numbers and posting as I have in this log I will be including before and after pics. I'm still waiting for the stuff to arrive so keeping my fingers crossed that it gets here in time for the start of my PCT on Sunday or Monday (this cycle ends Saturday/Sunday but I'm doing my after numbers Friday as I'm running another Spartan race on Saturday and will be carbing up Friday afternoon and evening to prep for it so I don't want the final numbers skewed by that).

How's this for results:

January 27:

Weight: 191.7 pounds
Bodyfat: 13.8%
Lean Mass: 165.4 pounds

March 21:

Weight: 201.1 pounds
Bodyfat: 13.8%
Lean Mass: 173.4 pounds

Eight weeks and up EIGHT POUNDS of lean mass while maintaining the same bodyfat. I struggled sticking to anything resembling a diet and managed to pack on eight full pounds of lean mass. I'd say that was a successful run.

Now I just need the D-Spark and DAA to get here so I can start my next log for the PCT.

Tested my max bench today and put up 300 pounds. That makes for a 35 pound increase over the course of the 8 week cycle.

I think that pretty much finishes up this log. If anyone has any questions or feedback please feel free to post here or send me a PM. Otherwise I'll see you all in my next log.

Wow...awesome results buddy! Congrats on the progress and gains...

You're definitely a great logger bro and will definitely be following the D-Spark log...
