Lemme break it down for ya cuz....I can sling dis shiznit:fro:

"you know wut slobber knocker n jocker 47 u do what wrks 4 u
n ill do what wrks for me so back the fuk up!!!!!!!!!!1 "

He basically told two hardcore lifters to continue to grow and advance to the highest levels of their sport with their routines, while he will continue to use his...and shrink EVEN FURTHER than he already has in order to make weight for his badmitton competition.

He is a little too intellectually advanced for some. I had to get out my thesaurus to translate this.

To get back to the original point. I cycle in and out of three rep sets in my training. I have found that if I continue high sub-maximal weight for extended periods of times my joins start to feel like hammered dogshit. Therefore I try and keep the high end workload to a time frame inside of where I get joint distress. Also my idea of high rep training is 8 or less.

Cheers,
Scotsman

But when doing explosive/power work, I'd hit 8-10 reps.

No!

After the 3-4th rep, you'd be slowing down a lot, and your form will be shot. Stick to triples and under, increase the number of sets.

Agreed

I use between 60 and 70% of my 1rm, and if I'm doing them right, I go way too slow by the time I hit #5 or 6

from personal experiance i will have to agree with anabolicmd. Im doing 5 rep sets now ( preseason ) for strength and endurance, i do 8 in season for maintenance and endurance, post season i plan on doing sets of 3. It gets me bigger and stronger more effectively, but is a little harder on the body so i like to do it when i know i have some time off from a sport so i can grow.
