I disagree ... if I were training purely for strength, yes my max effort stuff would be all heavy triples. But when doing explosive/power work, I'd hit 8-10 reps.
Just as a side note, NASM, my certifying body...their strength training recommendations are almost identical to westside save recommending that ME and speed work be supersetted. And what's great is they're recommending this westside-style routine for ALL CLIENTS! hah I love it
