this is my first post here on the diet board (i have been posting on the aas board). My question is simple do i need to add peanut butter or oil in my diet in order to "lose" weight. I am already losing weight but I want to know if by adding these items I will speed up the loss of weight
The short answer, the only fats you "need" are the EFA's and you can get those from oily fish and flax while maintaining a lowfat diet. Of the nuts, walnuts probably have the best fatty acid profile.
