Is A High Protien Diet Really Effective Or Could It Be Useless?

I have a hard time believing that eating a high protein/high fat/low carb diet is usefull for losing fat and preserving muscle. I believe that a high protein/high fat diet will cause muslce loss because it is basically stavation. Check this out, your body needs insulin to absorb nutrients. If there is no insulin in the body, how can you be sure you are getting the important nutrients like good fats and proteins? Please correct me if i am wrong. I am a little confused.

once again a very personal issue, some do extremely well on keto, or low carb type diets, some do much better on high carb/low fat/mod protein diets. experiment and find what works best for you

i like high carb diets, low fat, mod protein

so do I....it seems to work best for me.....

IMO you need to play with your diet for a long time before perfecting it....it took me quite awhile before I figured out waht worked best for me....

This is the biggest and on-going debate in our sport.
High protein...or.....Moderate protein.
The worst thing is there is very little scientific evidence supporting one way or another.
In fact I find most science supports moderate protein consumption, but this is because most studies are carried out on the average Joe, not bodybuilders.
I've been lifting for 10 years and I still haven't worked out the magic formula for myself.
Been making good gains on:
Protein:40%, Carbs:40%, Fat:20%
Gonna change it up to:
P:50%, C:30%, Fat:20%
We'll see what happens!
One thing I have to say is that Carbs don't tend to fill me that much, so its easy to over-consume or want more.
Protein however, does fill me up good and last longer, and is therefore beneficial to those that are cutting.

Easily digestible protein is a good source of calories because it is so low GI. I prefer about 150-180g protein per day, about 50-60g fat and the rest carbs. It's just a personal preference based on how I feel when I eat it.

Yeah, its important to find what works for you.
I know most people don't have the mental fortitude needed to chow down 200+ grams of Protein a day! That takes some dedication!
