How much nat. P. butter is too much?

During a non-cutting period (ie. bulking, or just maintenance) how much natural peanut butter is too much?

Many days I'll eat anywhere from a 1/4 cup to a 1/2 cup of the stuff and my wife says I'm eating too much to be healthy.

If I was cutting I'd agree with her.

Anyone have any thoughts?

I would like to hear them.
 
yea....if you are eating more than 1 jar per week too much. 14 servings per jar 16 grams of fat per serving
 
1/4 of a cup isn't much at all....

Even if you're bulking, you should still really count calories and decide on suitable ratios of PRO/CHO/FAT - in which case "too much" would be any amount that puts your over your daily limit for calories from fat. I know a lot of guys don't like to bother counting calories on a bulk - but it makes it so much easier in terms of ensuring that you're not over-doing it (and this way you can minimize fat gain while you maximize muscle gain).
 
I eat a jar a week. Could easily eat 3 times that much but its more of a treat now. No cholestoral though. Also goes great with semi sweet dark chocalate.

No more than 2 Tablespoons at each meal, provided there's not not much fat in the reat of the meal. Less on lower-cal days.
 
1 jar a week is good I believe-- I eat around that much or a little less. It is just a great shake additive/ bread spread/ tasty treat. This fat is good for you-- and if bulking or maintaining, the calories are easy to get with PB. But I would listen to Stryc-9 to get your answer about "too much".
