Thought about mixin up Cutting and Bulking type diets to see if it helps with fat burn and muscle maintenance. Specifically 2 consecutive days on a bulk diet (roughly 3800cal/day) and the other 5 days on more of a Cutting diet (around 2400cal/day) I've calculated my maintenance cal intake to be 3200cal/day.

For workouts: I'm currently lifting and doing cardio on alternating days, 7 days/week for an hour-1.5hrs/day. I have my lifting routines split to an "upper body" day and "lower body" day, alternating throughout the week......for example:

Sun: medium-high intensity cardio for 90min
Mon: upper body lifting for 70min
Tues: same as sunday
Weds: lower body lifting for 70min
......then repeat this.....

Has anyone given this a try already?.....if so, had good/bad results??

This type of diet is basically just a cutting/pre contest diet anyway really. 5 days on going very low carb and the 2 days would basically be a gylco replenish phase... Only thing I would add would be to gradually reduce calories over 2-3 weeks to the 2400 mark if not done/doing so already - do not cut calories dramatically

Give it a shot, If diet is in check you will very good results
