Help!!! iceing after squats

Hey guys I tore my mcl seven months ago, but now im back to squatting full force again. I squat twice week and usually feel good with minimal pain. But I can always feel my knees being sore after a tough workout. Would you guys recommend iceing my knees for 10-15 mins after my workouts or is that counter productive. Thanks guys

Ps. sometimes my mcl starts acting up again but a good massage and hotub always gets it to settle down, dunno about icing??

I would box squat instead of normal squat for the safety of your knees. Wear Chucks, squat wide and to a box.

I ice my knees in the car on the way home from the gym.

Yes, if your looking to add mass than consuming copious amounts of icing will skyrocket your bodyweight. However I suggest that you eat the cake, along with icing, so that your body receives a more diverse variety of nutrients. While most of the mass you will add will be fat, you can still bet your squat numbers will increase.

As for Post Workout vs. Pre Workout. I would do both.
