Friendly Fruit

I like to toss a banana and some PB in my Post w/o protein shake. Any reason why bananas are good for post w/o (other than to reduce/relieve cramps)?

bananas are not ideal PWO because they refill liver glycogen instead of muscle glycogen...Stay away from fructose PWO all together

A very ripe banana is mostly glucose with little fructose.

I like to eat a piece of fruit after my lunch or for a midday snack...usually a gala apple, sometimes a banana and sometimes with some natty PB.

Can anyone suggest some good fruit choices as far as being lower cals, lower in sugar, very fiberous, etc. I'd like to keep one piece of fruit in my diet...

thanks!

Best fruit is no fruit, but if you're going to still eat it either way you should know that fructose is 4x more likely to be stored in the liver and it's 4 x more likely than regular glucose to be stored as fat. having said that, peaches, apricots, cherries, banana, are all supposed to be "ok".

All kind of berries are certainly the best fruit : low GI, low carbs, full of vitamins and antioxidants

Apples, bananas, pears, cherries taste good but they are rich in carbs
