actually, why the debate?
ANYTHING that gets your Heart rate to the requried point and keeps it there for the time you have alloted yourself to do cardio is good cardio.
Depending on how fit your cardiovascular system is, you might find it hard to get the bpm going in the bike or even the elliptical... for most people, though, running is a sure-fire way of getting the bpms up (I'm not a running advocate).
so what is for me the best cardio? the one that gets my heart beats up to the 150bpm range with the less perceived effort (if I'm crapping out from minute 5, chances are I won't make it to the last minute)
