I didn't email, but I can help in any capasity on the technical end.
I'm an Engineer, both network and systems. I dabble in just about anything technical (for a living.)

You have a great idea. It's not that hard finding information on the internet, pic's video's, etc... But I have yet to find a site that has what you propose. (Get ready to spend some $$$, you'll know what I mean in a few months of the site being up.)

A word of advice, SECURITY! You're opening holes.

para: still waiting for the pm, but i am getting tired so will check again in the morn.

i'm not too worried about security. you can try and hack my server for giggles if you like. let me know if you find any weaknesses. i'll send you a prize. my internal lan is disconnected and cant be hit from my server, so i am ok.

worst i can lose is my powerlifting stuff which is all burned on dvd anyway.

i doubt i'll generate the kind of bandwidth that will require an upgrade in connection ( i have 1.5 up/down), but if i do, i will worry about it then.

peace and thanks for the help. if this ever picks up, i will hunt you down for help. right now, the hardest part is educating people on how to get their analog videos onto computer and then using ftp to get it over here.

yes... i was thinking of collecting articles as well. i don't want to just grab all of the elitefts.com or goheavy.com stuff. besides being someone else's property, i'd rather have newer stuff.

can i grab the stickies you posted here and put them on the server?

anything else you have written would be helpful as well!

Hey Irish, that's an awesome idea. Suggestion: If your gonna go ahead and have a log type database, how about one that everyone can record their numbers on. So when people want to see what others are doing in respect to there maxes they'll be able to. I know everyone's carryover is different, but it would give people a chance to see what's average. Also, what about video showing the Westside exercises? Would this be too much? Didn't know about this stuff, just thought I'd throw out some ideas. It is a cool idea though.

Ok...I am going nuts here. I have Pixela which came with my camera. I can't download auido on it because I have Win 98. I tried to get a male plug and hook it to my mic cord...no go. Still will NOT record audio.

I got VirtualDub 1.4.10 and could not get it to capture from my USB port. Should it?

What else can I use to capture video through my USB port????
