I have been training for amateur boxing for the last 2 months. However I have not lifted in that time and my muscles are starting to turn to atrophy. I am 22 6' 195. I plan on lifting weights on thurs. and sun. I also planning on doing push ups,pull ups, dips, and running stairs on mon-weds-fri.

Is this overtraining?

Should I instead just eiether a) Lift weights only b) Do push ups,pull ups, dips, and running stairs only c) Do both.

I would like to do both. Would doing this be more harmful than helpful?
 
I don't think you are overtraining but I will tell you that as a boxer the one overlooked muscle that you should work is the serratus anterior(it is the muscle centered around your ribcage)

When training for boxing I suggest no more than 2 days a week of weightlifting. Since you are training for boxing concetrate on that. BTW include pull-ups and push-ups into your weight training...

I lift 4-5 days a week... and box 4-5 days a week. My boxing workouts are probably lighter than yours... just hitting the bag for 5 rounds.

I haven't gotten any over training from this.
