ANPB Diet progress thread

Tonight will end my first week on the anpb diet, and im already down about 3.5lbs. I had previously lost about 12lbs the three weeks before (mostly water, and was on a clean diet, but no counting of calories.) Surprisingly ive had absolutely no cravings, and bsically no appetite. Cardio was done low intensity on an eliptical 45min 4x this week in the am and once had to do it at night. Workouts really havent suffered at all, although the first few days were a little tough until i got into ketosis. I weighed myself this morning, and came in at 213.5. This ketosis shit isnt as bad as i thought it would be. I have energy, never feel the urge to eat, although the breath is AWFUL haha. Im not going to carb up for another week, but i am already starting to look a little flat. My goal is to get down to around 200 solid pounds. I just got my Yohimburn in, will probably start using it this week. (god damn love handles!!!!) Also have been taking ephedrine 3x a day (once in the morning, afternoon, pre-workout) but thats it for suppliments.

Overall i would have to say im pretty pleased with my progress, since on Jan 1st i was around 225-230lbs and FAT and BLOATED. I have a picture from that night hanging up to keep me motivated!! I'll post up again next week.

people should really be careful with this ANPB diet. It's easy to follow and blah blah, but it is lacking a few essential nutrients, more specifically omega-3 fats and fiber. Without these components might as well forget about healthy lifestyle, for it won't be healthy at all :o

forgot to add that 2 meals out of the day are 2 tablespoons of olive oil rather than the anpb, so if im not mistaken, that is an omega 3 fat? And yes i followed it because it was easy that was the whole point. I live at college and its either that or eat at the caf where i dont know what the fuck is in the food

ANPB has 3 grams Fiber per 2 tbsp. Depending on your weight at the beginning of the diet, you will be taking in at least 35-45 grams of fiber a day.

sure:

wake up 8am- morning cardio on an eliptical 45min

meal 1: 930am 3tblspoons of anpb and approx scoop of whey

meal 2: 12-12:30 (depending on class) same as above

meal 3: 3:00pm same as meal one

4:00pm-workout

meal 4:6:00pm 2 tblspns extra virgin olive oil w/ scoop of whey

meal 5: 9:30pm 3tblsp anpb and whey

meal 6: midnight: 2tblspoons extra virgin olive oil and whey.

The olive oil is substituted two meals a day (anpb can get a little sickening if you eat it for 6 straight meals) By doing this the ratios on the diet change slightly, but i am still in a caloric deficit and in ketosis. It gets me another kind of healthy fat during the day as well. First refeed day is scheduled for a week from today. I'm telling you this diet really kills your cravings and gives me EXACTLY when and what to eat.

Ok, my fault I was thinking Peanut Oil; true peanut butter has fiber :o
Matt: extra virgin olive oil, just like ANPB, is primarily comprised of monounsaturated fats, and some omega-6's. Therefore you're only substituting one source of mono's for another. Look to invest into fish/flax oils; chia, kukui and hemp oils could serve as alternatives to flax/fish, but they provide only half of omega-3's per serving when compared to flax.

Look into that website - it effectively lays out the 'story' of fats in laconic terms :martini:

BTW, that website is not my finding, another poster should be credited for it (forgot name :( )

opt for fish oil rather than caps - you'd have to swallow like 40 caps a day :o
Go with the oil - very cheap and effective :o

I agree. I just toss some oil in my tuna or in my shake.
