Tipping point : Cardio Vs. Atrophy

No pic came up.

But sorry unless i seen you in person train for like what 5-6 hours a day 6 days a week like you claim i just wont believe you

What the hell are you talking about? Look at Micheal Phelps, the guy is in PERFECT shape, he can swim for miles, run for miles, his lifts are actually pretty good from what I heard from a friend who used to swim with him... The guy easily works 4-8 hours a day, and like what Elipse said, he eats like a horse, if he is really taking in enough calories and getting enough sleep then he can still grow, I'm starting to see better visiual gains in my body now that Ive incorporated more cardio, and suprisingly I think my lifts are feeling better too. I'm sure there is a point where it will effect your muscle gain, but many pro atheletes train many times a day, obviously he isn't trying to be a body builder, but you look at the Wide outs and Cornerbacks in the NFL, those guys are about 5'10-6'2 180-220 almost pure muscle, they have large arms, decent sized legs and core, and cut too the T. They also do endurance cardio, HIIT (way beyond what any BB would do), and lift pretty much every day.

Mate what the hell are you talking about! Michael Phelps is an ELITE ATHLETE! He is a freak of nature and is untouchble in his sport and everyone around the world knows this, he is an exception! your going way off topic and i dont care for what your saying anyway. If you bothered to read my other post I said quite CLEARLY this level of fitness is achievable but ONLY by elite athletes and not some joe blow who comes on an interent forum to ask basic questions!!!!!!:evil::evil::evil::evil:

It's all about carbs. Intake enough fast carbs, pre/during your extended cardio to make up for the energy burned.

If your body has the fuel, it doesn't need to make the fuel.

MP swimms 2 hours a day as i read and does some additional training.... he is a hell of an athlete but isnt exactally what youd call a beast from a muscular standpoint! Hes super lean... hed probably hold more weight if he wasnt competing to swim... If gaining muscle mass is your goal id cut down the running... If you look at long distance runners you just dont find any big buff guys.... dont get me wrong i know buff guys that run, but it becomes a clash trying to uphold a high level of both.
