Sore neck

And Olympic style weightlifters. As well as many other types of strength athletes.

Just trying to help.

:)

Hi - I bumped this thread back up to ask a few questions, because it outlines my workout and I am a lazy typist. ;)

I am no longer having neck pain(yay) since I started being a little more conscientious regarding form and cut back to only 2 days of arms/back.

I've noticed that my back is getting hard as a brick while my arms are not. There is definite muscle development there, but they still look sort of Jello-y, while my back is downright muscular. Does this mean that the exercises I'm doing are more for the back than the arms? Or am I just not doing enough?

Or, am I just being too impatient?:D

Any feedback would be much appreciated.

That very well could be. My arms are pretty small, but had no damn muscle tone to speak of. Now there's a little there, but I was surprised that my back seems to be much more developed. Must be from 3 years of lugging around a big, chunky baby...LOL

I am going to try to increase my sets for curls and tricep exercises. Maybe that will help.

Maybe its not from exersize at all...

Maybe your neck pains are from the way you sleep? Try ajusting your pillow and see if it helps, in the meantime heres a stretch you can do for you neck.

stand with your neck slanted to one side (lets start with the right) then take your right arm and place it over your ear and slightly pull your arm away from your body you should feel a stretch in your side neck muscles, hold for about 15counts then do the other side.

2. You can also rotate your neck, start in the centre and put your head down then move it to the right, back, left and around again a few times.

Dropping your head down (in a stretch) also stretches out the muscles that go from your neck to the top of your back :)
