Anyone ever just get so tired/burnt that you can not workout?? I worked in my gym this morning from 615 until 9 and then i was going to workout but i just felt so tired/depleted/weak that instead i just left. of course now i feel like i shoulda just roughed it out and had a shitty workout cause i woulda done something but i am trying to rationalize that this was my bodys way of telling me to slow down and i did the right thing for listneing....
i dont know really.....back in tomorrow though...

I bet you've been overtraining...
I've been in the process of cutting, and doing cardio 5 days a week takes such a huge toll on my system that I am absolutely fried by the weekend.... Try cutting something out here and there and see how you feel after a week... if your body doesn't make you feel like a slug then stick with it for a bit... maybe gradually add one or two things back in as your body adapts... but take it slow

When was the last time you took a solid week or more out of the gym? Go cycling, hiking, etc.....instead of lifting?

Give it a shot, I do it 3x a year post show....usually for about 2 weeks.

it happens to us all....... give yourself a much needed break.

Indeed... take a week off... rest up, then hit it REAL hard when you get back all fresh... You'll thank yourself for it... last time I did this, I droped 5 lbs... but got stronger... I dunno... Give it a shot... :)

I always make myself workout and I always feel better after with more energy. I worked in a gym for a long time and I just didn't feel like lifting after working. I was ready to get teh hell out of there.
Make yourself and you will feel better.
oh go Sooners

I always take an ephedrine and caffeine pill just prior to training. Within minutes I'll go from looking for excuses not to go, to speeding so I can get to the gym faster....

That happens to me alot. I have an 8 month old and it`s DRAINING my energy. I`ve been forcing myself to workout but I DO feel better afterwards MOST of the time and I`m grateful that I did`nt skip that day.
I can`t explain it but I have some of the best workouts when I`m tired and don`t want to lift. I`ts happened enough times to make me lift if I`m on the fence.
