i would have never guessed 577 was even in me. We have been traiining with bads/chains etc so i never got a final weight number. When i hit 532 i was stunned, so then we loaded up 10kg on each side again. Then when 577 went up and started slipping i tried to grip as tight as i could but no luck it just
slipped.

I didnt know the weight either, just totalled it after trying it 2x. I was SHOCKED i hit such a good number or almost hit =]. Ill be able to say what i can DEF hit next weekend since we having A MINI COMPETITION so we get our *real numbers*.

This weekend I got to try out my new Metal Squat Suit. Amazing. It was not giving me alot of support in the belly so i wanted to try it out before getting it taylored. And it worked perfectly.

I was squatting/pulling on Saturday so i got to see both aspects of the suit.

Squat: Warmed up close to openors (we are having a semi small competition next sunday, so we are treating that workout like a pre-comp workout, we hit all our openors and this week is our rest week)

510 - straps down
560 - straps up/no knee wraps
560 - straps up/no knee wraps

The 560 felt like CAKE. I definitely improved my squat and i cant wait to see what i have in me.


Deadlift:

warmed up
505
530 - Nailed like cake. NEW PR**
577 - Missed during lockout, but grip strength is the issue, slipped out of my hand)

Had amazing weekend. Next Post is my Bench Day......will post in a bit.

Notes:
No beer/alcohol this weekend. No late night partying. I have to get all my serious intense training done before the summer, since in the summer i want to reward myself with some parties, etc.

Next completion is in May. I might do nationals, but i need to see how good my #'s are after this weekend. Im going to stay in the 198lb category.....since im weighing in 205-208 right now.

Bench Day was Sunday. Great Bench Day

Walked in and the atmospher was different. There were 2 other Powerlifters there already working out with chains. The bigger guy is close to 300lbs and is a pure beast while the smaller lifter is 200lbs and is damn gorrilla strong as hell. So already before working out i was in a great mood.

All we did was flat bench with our shirts to see what numbers we have for this weekend.

Bench Warmed up

405
420 - hit it, struggled, i think it was because my leg drive sucked since my feet were slipping all over
450 - miss just felt like trying

So next competition (this weekend) here will be my opening numbers: (60-70% of Max)

Openors
Squat: 560
Bench: 380
Deadlift: 530

Closers (if i have a great day)
Squat: 610
Bench: 425
Deadlift: 550

I hope to blast these numbers too =]
 
When do u guys usually train with your coach man? I wanna drive over to your gym and see some of this insanity live and in person one of these days.

every weekend he is there....he is more of a handson type of guy.....the only reason he is sharing his knowlege is because hes still banging weight too lol

but we train every saturday-sunday

but he is starting a new job and saturday's might change a bit (since its our heavy squat day together) and just bench sundays....
he still has to figure it out

but your welcome to join us anytime =]

ill be recording the entire mini meet next sunday so i hope to capture alot of the insanity lol

Thanks SGT & AL! Means alot coming from some great lifters your selfs!

i hope in 2 years to have ELITE numbers and qualify for some national/worldwide events. I would love to do the WPO in the future, BUT THEY QUALIFYING weight at 161-220 = 2050 or something like that. So i have to bust my ass.
