Head aches

Jarr_head

New member
every time I train my traps I get really bad head aches the next day.
I drink enough water and eat well.
so I'm not really sure why I only get head aches when I train my traps.
Does this happen to anyone else ?

Called a tension headache. "a headache located at the back of the head; usually caused by body tension resulting from overwork or psychological stress."
Are you doing them with proper form? I get exertion headaches, especially when doing deadlifts and squats in my workout.

^^^ that is exactly what i was suspecting.

i would lower the weight and look DOWN when you do them.. see if that helps.

worst case and you won't like this but if the body doesn't approve then don't do it.. you can still work the traps indirectly with other compound lifts.

Thanks guys i usually do barbell shrugs looking at the ground, yeah the head aches are in the back of my head but there manageable as long as it wasn't anything serious lol

Lower the weight and increase reps. Do slow reps and work the static contraction.
