Four-move bench press

Does anyone know if the four move benchpress is best for mass or cutting?

The one where you go down.... back up haflway... back down, and then up completely... that's one rep and it's a killer. :bawling:

the only exercise thats good for "cutting" is cardio.

there is no special way to do a movement that classifies it as cutting or bulking. the only thing you are working with is endurance, power, growth or strength or a combination thereof. rep ranges, speeds and TUT take care of that.

what you are doing sounds hard but is isometric by nature. its cool that it stops all momentum but why stop in the halfway mark, what makes it any different than stopping 75% of the way up? there is no reasoning. its like 21's for biceps, they are hard...thats it.

just as a joke....

fork curls for bulking
table pushaways for cutting

i pm'ed ya, hopefully that can steer you in the right direction. check the PL board too. there is a post on the bench press by arioch that is pretty useful. read it thoroughly and i bet you will feel more confident in what you need to do.

what ever happened to arioch anyways? he was very knowledgeable

could you PM me please?

i dont remember him as anything other than a realy nice, helpful guy..

I used to do these and still do on high bar squats from time to time. It increases Time Under Tension for sure...
