First sanctioned meet! need help w/ precontest workout....

I just found out about a meet in june w/ IRBD, and i decided im gonna be lifting in it with him.... thing is, its on such short notice (2 months), so i still have to order my lifting gear, and create a precontest prep workout for a few weeks prior to contest. Im current doing westside, and i'll be cutting that routine short by 4 weeks (i'll make it 8 weeks instead of 12) and leave 3-4 weeks for a quick contest prep.

Any suggestions for a good pre-contest workout that i could follow for a few weeks?

Also, this is my first sanctioned meet... im actually kinda nervous... but it'll be fun

My first sanctioned meet too man.

I am starting my new routine his coming week and wil do 6 full weeks of it. The 7th week is contest week and I will hit my opener bench on Monday. Not sure about the other lifts yet.

its soo soon!!!! howl ong did it take to get all your equipment.. i want to train with it for at least 3 weeks...

I have only entered one meet but I stuck with my normal workout until the week before. The meet was on saturday and on Monday I did lite bench and squat just to keep loose and took the rest of the week off. Seem to work really well.

if you train westside you change nothing!!!it sound like you don't know much about westside(not knocking you)you still train speed, you still have ME days rotating every 2-3 weeks, use your gear the last 4-6 weeks to get an opener, throw your shirt on and see what will touch, use your suit straps down w' briefs, belt, traing shouldn't change just lower your volume the last week if you feel like your getting burned out.

test- i know a little about westside, i was just wondering if i shuld switch to a different routine for contest prep.

Im not even sure if they allow breifs in the USAPL... any one know?? also what about their squat depth? do they require just breaking the parallel plane, or going 2-3 inches below?

since its not nationals or anything, i think they might not be "as strict" as they would be there... you could probably get away with a 1 inch below.
If they dont allow groove breifs.. maybe i sholdnt even order them..
