Do you guys change your training in the last few weeks pre-comp.?

Hey - I'm 5 weeks out from my comp. Have been told to just lift as heavy as I can for 6-8 reps or so. I'm cutting my volume and gonna try and increase intensity (though the diet should take care of that :( ). Before you ask why I'm CUTTING volume - I'm going on the advice of a bunch of smart people on the women's board who reckon I'm doing way too much volume right now.

Anyway, so I'm doing tons of cardio (have to) and weights 6 days a week, gonna try and keep the sessions to 30-45 mins.

Any suggestions?

I think that would be a good idea. The idea of lowering the volume while you are dieting...would be to keep your strength. Any reason why you are doing the weights 6 days a week instead of maybe just doing 4 days a week?

Hey NF :)

Yeah - I figure if I can just keep each session as short as I can, I'll have enough energy to get through them with high intensity - it's easier to do just one bodypart plus abs or calves or something per day. I may put it at 5 - will see how I'm coping. But I fucked up my diet and wasted a bunch of time, so now I'm doing the emergency diet from hell :bawling: Energy is a problem.
