Deadlift Goal

Two weeks ago I hit 405X1 and I was struggling but i got it...two weeks later I did 405X1 and it went up with ease!! My goal is to pull 495 (5 plates) by Aug 10. Does this seem like a realistic goal to you guys? I'm 5'10-5'11" not exactly sure, 200lbs and I train my ass off. Do you think the 5X5 program will help me get there?? Thanx in advance for any help.

well it depends (among other things) how long you've been training (and deadlifting). when i first started deadlifting i had trained for 6 years, and i raised my deadlift by 60 pounds in a few months. i did this without paying attention to diet (yeah i suck i know) and without "supplements". all this on the 5x5. not trying to say that's a great achievement, just saying it can be done.

so here's the short version; i personally think, yes, it can be done.

definitely possible.

be sure to train your abs, hams, lower back, and hips good and hard
