I just finished my first DE squat day, after the 9 week WSB program. I put the exercises together myself. I did my Speed Box squats at 60% of my 1rm, then 4 sets of 8 SLDL. Then 4 sets of 8 Reverse hypers. Then 3 sets of 12 weighted leg raises. some barbell curls for my own amusement. and then some prehab work. And im toast now. I think this was too much to do just a few days after my ME squat day. The biggest problem was the ammount of stress my legs were getting from my speed squats.
Dave Tate reccomends starting off with 60% of your 1rm for box squats on DE squat day. I did this, and i was actually feeling a signifigant ammount of stress in my legs, primarily my quads. (and i squat wide) Should i be working my legs like this on DE day? And i wasnt really getting too much speed untill my last few sets. What as going on here?
