Cutting for Summer Lovin

What's crappenin,
I am cutting to get in shape for summer. I am at college right now and plan on doing intense cardio for the next 7 weeks to kick start my cutting, 45 min to an hour 4-5 days a week. I am 5'8" 230 18%bf. I was wondering how many calories a day, also carb protein and fat ratios. I also am taking sesapure and thermorex.

Welcome to the summer cutting crew, lol.

First off... get your BMR up there in the sticky threads near the top of this Diet forum and go from there bro.

I too and using Seasapure and Gluc-R (I think my blood is 20% those products by now)... and Rexin' is great too.

P.S. About the cardio: Most here will say look into an HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) for best fat loss results.... as well as doing cardio in the a.m.

again, welcome... and READ, READ, READ... most all questions have been answered here at some point.

^^ what he said :)

how about what your lifting to go with this cardio fiesta?

Diet is VERY important here. How is that college bank account & time to prep food? Is convenience a big factor?

It's nice when the abs pop out for the summer, and shitty when they get stucked back into a gut formation when it gets cold.

Thanks for all your input guys, much appreciated.
To answer your questions Bunny I am lifting regularly 3-4 times a week each bodypart once a week.
I invest a lot of money in my cutting food and have a decent cushion to work with. I am a senior with a slack schedule so time is not a problem.

I am really interested in what pro/carb/fat ratios have worked for you guys.
Also, any recipe advice for chicken breast and tuna.

Some ideas for sample diets...*Click Me* ...

40P/30C/30F Has been successful for me in cutting keeping my cals within the 10-12 X bodyweight ratio (for men probably shoot for 12 X BW ... guys?? ). My energy level was up, hunger DOWN & maintained quite a bit of muscle. It could be a good starting point for you, and simply use it as your BASE diet to make adjustments from ... Maybe?

Have you tried anything specifically in the past that we can compare to? Low Carb? Low fat? etc ...

What are you currently eating?

Possible suggestions from what I've learned of this board: (you can find all this info my searching around PLENTY of great ideas … try some things out) I’ll repost for great info:

- Keep your processed food intake to a minimum - this includes Cheerios, ice cream, Ritz crackers, and yes, even wheat bread. Avoid "white" carbs -- i.e. white bread. Replace with good starchy carbs -- potatoes, yams, brown rice, oatmeal (not the quick-oats but the old-fashioned oats, and not the flavored stuff that comes in packets either). Peanut butter - use Natural PB -e.g. Smuckers.

- Eat protein at every meal. Chicken, fish, steak, turkey, eggs

- (suggestion from my girl Sassy) Drink your weight in ounces of water (e.g. i weigh 150 lb, i drink 150 oz water) -- keeps you hydrated and your system flushed, helps to carry out the waste/ by-products of your body's daily processing functions

- Fats - make sure you get some fats – walnuts, almonds, natural PB, fish, Essential Fatty Acid (EFA) pills, flax seed oil are all options

- Eat 5-6 smaller meals - separated by 2-3 hrs

- Save your junk food for a single cheat (or call it a "reward" ) meal or day after staying clean for a week. Its good to throw some junk in your system so it is able to process it occasionally -- i.e. if u eat 100% clean all the time, eventually your body has a hard time processing junk like too much salt, dairy, too many carbs, etc. and it just isn't fun. So every 5-7 days throw in some junk. Not a lot of junk, but some junk. IT also helps you keep from going nuts on a tight diet and also gives you room to plan your socializing.

The guys here are very helpful as well ... this should get you started ...

Oh, the ladies like to cook (not me) ... * recipe thread *

I got a question i usually run 3 miles a day takes me a little over a half hour you think i would lose more weight if i did this HIIT? Also basically what is it you run sprinting untill you cant do it anymore then you take a break untill you catch your breath then you get right back on it?

RBtrucking 4:

a thing i used to do back in the day was all out sprint sprint half a lap (1/8th a mile) then walk across the field back to where you started. wait about 2 minutes then start again. do this 4 times. take a 5 minute break. then do another 4 sprints.

i guarantee that will kick your ass.

read the link I posted for your brother yesterday ...

Screw cutting for the summer. I spent all last summer bulking and got way more attention from girls than before, especially ones I hadn't seen since the summer before. :chomp:
