Hey everyone,
Like to drink my coffee black maybe a drop of fat free milk some times but thats it wondering if this will have any effect on diet and blood sugar. I also like to drink green tea but coffee is easier to make and my wife drinks it to. Just wondering if coffee might pertain more to a carb than green tea in some way. Looked around and no answear figure I would ask the buddys!! Thanks for any answears guys feel free to let me know any ideas... Thanks again,

Well lets see here, I don't think that coffee without added sugars or creamers has many carbs to begin with. And with that out of the way, I don't believe it's much of an effect on blood sugar.
My dad is 55yo and drinks 1-2 cups of coffee ED for the last 20-30 years !
No problems in the areas of Cardiovascular or overall Weight Management.

I myself Drink the Initial 'get outta bed morning coffee' and throughout the day I supplement Green Tea EXTRACT, which keeps me going throughout the day without a crash or a 'comedown'
I also supplement a b12 complex which is nice, natural energy.

So in all Coffee isn't bad from what I've seen, and for my hectic life style, it works wonders along with the above.

Either / Or

The only sugar you'd get would be from the milk. 13 grams of sugar per 1 cup of milk. I'd personally go with the green tea... Less of a crash.

Thanks for the replys guys. The only problem I find with coffee for me is heart burn every now and then. Think I might chang to only green tea I will be talking to the doc and we'll see what he says. But I gotta keep everything healthy about my body so no radicles.

If you want decaffeinated tea to keep you from staying up late at night, you can place the water in the cup, throw in the tea bag, let it sit for 30 seconds, and then dump the water. Pour water back in the cup and let it steep for 5 minutes. You still get all the benefits of tea without the caffeine this way.

just wondering whats the better route to go here guys black coffee or green tea just like the energy either one give and trying to use the one that keeps the pounds off and i think so far by trial and error coffee is makeing me gain and tea is sliming me down but need more specs if ya'll gottem.

dude, i do one cup of coffee in the am, and that's the limit. i really like the green tea, it has anti-oxidents in it as an added bonus plus several other things which make it better than coffee for your system. if i had to choose between either or, i'd personally go with the green tea, it doesn't make me crash like most other caffeine sources do. i'm not a competitive bb, so i do tea and coffee, but i also drink twice my body weight in fluid oz of water daily, and when i don't, i feel it. if you're drinkin your water, you'll be ok, unless you're a diabetic or something and are watching your sugar, if that's the case, kill the sugar in the coffee. all i put in mine is a little creamer, just a touch. also, the green tea is a diuretic, it'll definitely send you to the john, so you'll need to get more water too. hope this helps.
