Just looking for someone to help me with a workout for the gym. something with the weights, hopefully around a 3 day split. Anyone have one they use that improves their mma game?

Look into something like this http://www.yale.edu/gradrugby/WS4SB.pdf

I teach jits at an mma gym in Canada. We have 15 pro fighters. Your goal should be to be as strong as you can and as light as you can. Explosive strength is what you need. NOT body building.

ie. If you fight at 155 you want to be as strong as guys at 170 or 185. That doesn't mean you want to weight 170 or 185 come fight day.. Does this make sense?

Complete sense. I'm in the cutting phase right now , i'm 190 (but a higher bf % say 15) I want to cut down to about 185 180. But I want to start doing some mma weight lifting at the gym so i'm used to it.

I'm not "successfull" in MMA, but switch between powerlifting and olympic lifts and interval training. Do that but also try to do more specific movements - punching, knees, kicks with bands for example. get some 32 oz gloves to punch with. and lots of plyometrics and stretching....
