Any Cigar smokers here?

I had a few Padron 1964 Anniversary Series Imperial Maduro's the other day and they were very nice. The last time I had an AVO was a few months back. I believe it was a #2.

You smoked three in one day?

You must be made of money.

Living in NYC helps ;)

I have about 70 cigars in hand. I try new ones frequently. I'm still new to cigar smoking, so I'm still trying to learn. Chefwide was suppose to be in NYC and we were gonna chill with a few stogies. Not sure what happened to him :o

KB, we must chill soon. The weather is turning nice.

I'm smoking a JR Ultimate Cabinet No. 10 right now. Fan-freaking-tastic smoke. I'd put it up against any $10 stick.

Hey Guys,

My smoke is La Gloria Cuban. I mostly smoke the Corona Gordo but on special occasions my baby is the Series "R" No. 6.

If you haven't tried the La Gloria line of Dominican cigars you are really missing something.

I'm not a big fan of the Serie R--they are too sweet for my tastes. But probably a good one to try if you are new to cigars.

Well, here are some of my favs. Usually keep 7-8 of each in the humidor...

1. Ashton VSG (Virgin Sun Grown Belicosos and Torpedos

2. C.A.O. Extreme Robustos

3. Davidoff Double R's

Never had an Opus X, but will try one soon!

If it is not full bodied, then I'm not interested!

I need to find Cuban's :(

I just got back from Germany (on vacation) about 2 weeks ago. Cubans are abundant there, but let me tell you something. Quality control on Cubans is hit or miss, even on Montecristos and Cohibas. There are more cigars imported into the US than all of Europe combined. This means that even though the seeds for many of the fillers of Dominicans originated in Cuba, cigars originating in Nicargua have higher, and more consistant standards than Cubans with the US embargo and all. I would like to see the US open up its markets to Cuba though. After a few years, I am sure that Cuba would rectify quality discrepencies, and be the top manufacturer of cigars in the US again.

I got my hands on them back home by just going back to the same humidor (cigar store) and striking up a relationship with the owner. eventually he showed me the secret stash.
