Always Hungry...any tips?

I eat 5 times a day religously at the same time, but about once a week I get ravenous, and take in an easy 5,000-7,000 calories in one sitting (no joke) on top of my 5 meals...what gives? Food is getting mad expensive my parents are getting pissed.

Here is the breakdown...

6am- 3/4 cup oatmeal (sometimes with walnuts and almonds + banana + 1tbsp peanut butter)
+ 8 Egg whites

9am(pre-workout)- 1 slice no sodium bread + 1 chicken breast + 1 scoop N.O

12pm (post workout) - 1 Yam + 1/2 cup no salt no fat cottage cheese + 2 chicken breasts + Broccoli + 1 protein shake (25 g carbs/20 g protein)

3pm - 1yam + 1-2 Chicken breasts

6pm - 1yam + 1/2 cup cottage cheese + 1 Chicken breast + 1 Piece Tolapia + broccoli

9pm (sometimes more oatmeal with walnuts and almonds + banana + 1tbsp peanut butter)

I've been doing this for over a month now and I've only gained maybe 4-5 lbs lean mass...but I could eat way more, but don't want to mess up my metabolism. I even drink green tea cause I heard that helps and about 2 gallons of water daily. Does anyone have any tips? thanks

24 yr old

158 lbs

Diet looks like it may be a little low in fats ... more importantly, I'd like to know why your parents are getting pissed :qt:

5,000 calorie meal = 1/2 gallon ice cream. A 5 cheesesteak sandwich. 5-6 Giant bowls of cereal with bananas, blueberries, peanutbutter, anything I can find. 1/2 pack oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. cheese and crackers. (pretty much anything and everything I'm in the mood for) it's seriously like over an hour of straight eating. Afterwards, my body takes a good day and a half to get back to normal. My mom is getting pissed cause she has to go to the food store every other day and stock up. I thought the fat in the peanut butter, and almonds would be enough?

You're body is craving fats. I'm not one to advise you how much fat you should be regularly consuming, but clearly what you're taking in regularly isn't enough, which is why you binge. LOOK at what you're binging on, foods high in saturated fats. What kind of proportions are your macros at? If you don't know, get yourself an account at Fitday and start logging your food.

As for the parental issues about food. Look, you're plenty old enough to go the grocery store yourself. Stop dumping your hobbies on your parents. I hope to god you're not making them pay for all this, too, at age 24!? If you do I might just black you on principal!!!

I kinda have the same problem as you - about once a week, I go insane, and will have something like

2-3 cups of oats + 2 litres of skim milk + 4 pieces of fruit blended with it with chocolate protein powder (I think this is about 2500 calories). I does give a good enegy boost for the next day. It use to be worse when I permitted PB to be in the house (I would add 100 grams of PB in the mix)

My theory is that a lot of these binges just get shitted out as I have ridiculous farts/shits for next 24 hours.

I should add if your concerned that these binges will make you fat, just (before the binge) drink a 1 litre + bottle of a diet beverage, and this will most probably prevent the binge
