My current diet consists of very high protein a lot of good fats and a majority of carbs before 8 pm. Mostly meat, fish, nuts and vegetables. I usually have some bread and milk (my only source of sugar) every day and rice a few times a week. Would I benefit from a cheat meal once a week or is it only for low carb dieters?

If you are consuming less than 20g of carbs a day, than a refeed day would be very helpful, if you are training.

Otherwise, 1-2 cheat meals a week are OK. Just don't fuck up all your gains (or losses) with those meals.

Bumping calories for a day or two is a good idea every now and then - even if you're not on a low carb diet. It will give your metabolism a good kick in the ass. So go for it if you feel lethargic or hungry all the time - those are generally good signs (while dieting) that blood plasma leptin needs a boost.

I wouldn't suggest a pig-out though - I would just eat larger quantities of the same "clean" foods that you eat on your diet.

You gotta cheat every now and then to keep sane...I find if I dont, I just start craving things more then pig out. So like Stryc-9 said, eat larger quantities, or cheat once or twice a week.
