I'd post pics, but 6 months is going to be my offseason so I'd be going in the wrong direction with my bodyfat. :-)

SO.....mine is too actually......

I think I've had more ups & downs in my weight & my life since I did my first show than ever before in my life. Normally I'd say diet suffers the most, kinda hate cardio, but training has always been a religious experience for me. This all got pretty f'd up over the last few years, but I think I'm back on track this month. This is a big deal for me because when I lose sight of training (i.e. hate it), then I've lost the only thing that is guaranteed to keep me grounded when the rest of my life is going whacko.

diet: 8 -- still deciding how i want to approach my carbing, & working on more consistent water intake w/ my sort of nutty work schedule
cardio - 6 - getting there - back has been sore these last few weeks
training - 9 - also getting back into it. I managed to keep my muscle mass in pretty good shape despite a rather extended hiatus, but my upper body strength has taken a hit with some aggravated tendonitis I've been dealing w/ over the last year.

Give me 2 months & let's see what's hidden underneath all that "fluff"...

you get the idea of the impact slacking on just one of the three parameters will cause.

I USED to like you, Corn. :(

Prior to my surgery:

Diet = 9 (I wind up skipping some meals)

Cardio = 1 (I HATE to sweat)

Training = 10 (My favorite part of the day)

Post-op (still fighting infection and starting another round of antibiotics today):

Diet = 9 (still skipping the occasional meal)

Cardio = 1

Training = 2 (doing legs once a week in the gym, pilates 4 days a week at home, running up and down the stairs a few times extra every day, can't even do band work yet. I'm not happy.)

Hi,

Good thread. I had a really rough week. I ran for the first time in my life on Weds. I have never been able to run. Finally my endurance is up to par, but it was really rough on my body!!! So for this week:

Cardio: 5 (did 30 min Mon, Weds, Fri-12 min.)
Diet: 7 (pretty good tihs week!! Lots of protein)
Training 3 (back weds, legs Friday)

Starting today, I am going full force!!!
Cardio: 10
Diet: 10
Training: 10

No longer my Huckleberry??

:bigkiss: Always. :) I just had a moment there. I'll blame PMS today.

Actually, your post really made me realize that even though my diet and training were good, the lack of cardio is gonna cause me to not get to where I want to be, not simply in appearance, but healthwise. It's the one area that I need to truly focus on and just bite the bullet. Thanks for the reminder. ;)

if hitting the treadmill seems boring, tkae up something like judo or karate to get your cardio :D . Lots more fun. Or basketball, football, whatever.

the best cardio is the cardio you ENJOY doing...and will also be the most enjoyable

I hate hate hate hate hate cardio
but....
I love to dance
and when ya dance ya sweat.
I downloaded a couple hours worth of my favorite rock and roll.
Lock every door in the house and draw the shades (don't want anyone seeing this)
Crank up the stereo and before I know it 45 minutes is gone and I am sweating my ass off:D

If you add some house work to this, the dancing, coupled with chemical propellants, will really burn some quality cals!

;)
