Wine?

OK What is your opinion? I work out hard, morning cardio - afternoon weight train - 2 bodyparts, supersets. I eat clean as a whistle. low bodyfat, etc, but.... I like a glass of red wine at night - while I read these boards no less(!). I drink about 6 ounces. Am i ruining potential progress? Will it really make a difference if I go with out it?
Thanks!

Drink up...it doesn't sound like it's affecting your progress and you aren't going overboard. Alcohol tends to become problematic when you get into the realm of binge drinking.

studies have shown that 2 glasses of red wine per day is beneficial to your health. Don't ask me to dig it up! It's out there!!! I'm sure mean's Health/Fitness has it in there as well as other sources. That being said "Drink up...it doesn't sound like it's affecting your progress and you aren't going overboard. 1 or 2 glasses of red wine a day are OK

actually pretty good for your heart

but no more !

it's been proven that red wine taken in moderation also contributes to reduction of abdominal fat (if i remember correctly, because individuals with heart problems tend to have fat stomach areas and people who drink wine in moderation tend to be heart-healthy).

It seems there is a consensus. Now what about the health benefits of the hops in beer? I have heard about this before... (the German secret? haha)

Why is the red better than the white?

polyphenols, resveratrol

it's still high in sugars. Follow your diet guidelines, if your macros can support some extra carbs, then go for it. I wouldn't think the miniscule alcohol content would cause any negative effects.
