I often doubt my diet on the basis that I don't find it bland or disgusting. I always overhear fat people complaining about how hard it is to eat right. I just don't see it.
My diet usually consists of...
Oats
Blueberries
Eggs
Tea
Coffee
Chicken
Tuna
Lettuce
Carrots
Onions
Peppers
Almonds
Cottage Cheese
Olive Oil
Brown Rice
And when eating those foods, not once have I ever thought, "Gross!"
Those foods are delicious. And yet people have this notion that eating healthy is so hard and tasteless. Is mcdonalds that addicting? Do you lose your sense of taste when you over indulge? For me, eating blueberries is just sweet enough and I enjoy the subtle qualities of tea without sugar. But when I eat a candy bar it feels way too sweet and makes me sick. Maybe it works both ways. Maybe eating m&ms makes everything dull, if only temporarily.
I don't know. I often doubt my diet because it doesn't feel hardcore enough. Yet I check my stats and nutritional information and it's all there. Almost nothing is processed either. And it feels like a normal thing, it's so easy to follow. Just about every place in the US serves chicken salad, with varying degrees of salt obviously.
But c'mon. Are people just weakminded or does taco bell have nicotine in it?
