So let me understand this. You're saying that whatever it is that makes men gay, makes them promiscuous? That gay men have a higher, uncontrolable sex drive?

I think whatever drives many men to be gay also drives the tendency toward promiscuity, yes. I think normal men have just as high of a sex drive, just for women though.

Based on the well-known homosexual lifestyle in high density gay communites like San Francisco, the AIDS epidemic, the death of high-profile gays like Liberace and Versace, medical research and just the fact that a man would desire anal intercourse from another man versus natural sex with a woman.

After reading all the self touting by our gay members, I thought I should point out that feelings of inadequacy motivate people. Thus gay men are more highly motivated.

I agree that gay men are more promiscuous, but not because they are gay. Sexual morrays are different with gay men obviously, but that's only because gay men do not have to jump through the same hoops to get sex that straight men do. If straight men could get sex as easily as gay men could, they would in a heartbeat.

As for the AIDS thing, it was just dumb luck that it was introduced into the gay community. Had it been more pervasive in the straight community before we realized what it was and how to prevent it, the current "epidemic" would pale in comparison. Worldwide, AIDS is a predominantly heterosexual disease.

Medical Research? Show me.

A man's sexual desires for men or women have absolutely nothing to do with his tendencey toward promiscuity. Men are hounds, regardless of sexual orientation. The rules are loosened for gay men, that's all. To say that if straight men would be less promiscuous were it not for society's sexual rules, is rediculous.

My explaination if evolution based ..

The goal of a male is to inseminate as many people as possible .. the goal of a female is to raise young .. there is a bigger committment of biological resources for a female to create a child than a male .. THEREFORE, females are more choosy in who they choose for the father.

With two men, there is no female influence restraining the sex drive .. in fact it's not that uncommon to have two men in a relationship, and they fool around on each other and that's ok.

And in the grand scheme of things percentage wise and world wide, AIDS spread by gay sex is not the largest problem.
