Which is a better Post Workout Shake?

Neo22

New member
I'm trying to decide on the best post workout shake. I'm thinking of either NlargeII or just basically two scoops of optimum nutrition whey and some dextrose? Which is better and why? Wheres a good place I can get dextrose if need be?

Thanks

You can get the dextrose from proteinfactory too.. and it's really cheap.

Neo you'll probably get some different answers here.. some just use whey, and some use whey plus dextrose. Personally I'm a big believer in the whey plus dextrose shake.

Which kind of whey protein do you want? There's many different kinds there. Which is the best whey protein source?

Check out the Optimum Nutrition Aftermax...sure you could build it yourself but why bother. Drop a big spoon of G-plenish in there and you're good to go. Bout $1 per serving

40 grams of protein
40 grams of High Glycemic Simply & Complex Carbohydrates
5 grams of CreaPure™ brand Creatine Monohydrate
Over 5 grams of glutamine from L-Glutamine, Glut. Peptides, & Whey Protein.
1 gram of Taurine
500 combined milligrams of AminoGen and CarboGen brand enzyme systems
22 vitamins and essential minerals including antioxidants and electrolytes.

I go with the dextrose and whey (plus creatine). I use optimums whey and creatine, both from dps, and dextrose from supplementdiret. If nothing else, this is a very good combination and is dirt cheap. I like the taste myself also.
