When to have carbs?

When should I have my carbs on bulking diet. Just got off CKD and have been gradually increasing carbs. 3portions of oatmeal a day once in the morning with breakfast one preworkout and one after the workout (and after whey/dextrose drink) at night.

Is this OK any suggestions other than that? My last carb meal is like 9 PM is that too late? thanks
 
all the time if bulking, no seriously try to get around 3grams per lb of bw give or take some just watch the mirror. I personally think if your last meal has carbs in it just wait atleast an hour or two before going to bed you should be fine if its a clean meal.
 
Wow that sounds like a lot. 3grams per pound that`s like 60% carbs in your diet. I just came off a zero %, that would kill me. lol
 
i think it is important to eat an extremely clean diet while bulking... Unless you wanna get fat... I'd rather gain just muscle and no fat...

when bulking i usually stick this:

fat: never more than 75g... i like to get 80% of fat from mono and polunsaturated

carbs: i usally hit my bodyweight in carbs or maybe 1.25 times bodyweight, but never more than 1.5x

protein: i got 1.5 times bodyweight

well go for 2 if you think thats alot but you are bulking so i think if its just clean food you are eating then you should be fine. just watch the mirror you will know if its too much or not.
 
you can eat too much clean food and get fat... Rice is clean and so are sweet potatos, but if you eat to many, it will bring the fat on...

Carbs are important while bulking and even when cutting... But there is an upper limit as well as a lower limit
 
Thanks guys, I can always gauge my intake I guess. But the real question is WHEN should I eat the carbs? If I divide them into 3 meals morning pre and post workout? or should I just eat them with my 5 or 6 meals a day?

The reason for splitting them up into only 3 meals is I did`nt want to have fats in those 3 meals with the carbs, just protein. And the other meals would have fats and protein. does that make sense? anyone?
