Im a newb when it comes to lifting weights to gain size. I got a mag with the rock talking about how he trains.
when I see him I see a guy with some size and looks pretty good. his stomach doesn't look ripped to shreds but I wouldn't complain if I were him.
anyways he said this:
trains a body part/day for half an hour
free day/week to chill and eat anything he wants.
on diet days around 300 grams of protien, and 100-300 grams of carbs.
also he gets whatever other workout walking around being active and a few wrestling ring appearances/week.
It didn't say how heavy he goes, or sets, etc. though.
the article just got me to thinking that his schedule sounds doable if you wanted size right? Or is he some genetic freak?
Also I saw some other smaller wrestler talk about lifting weights and hell go til he can't lift anymore on a couple sets for a bodypart, but goes lighter weight for like 15 reps.
he said that allows him to keep the weight steady and not get as hurt as with heavy weights, and he can put on bulk, but still remain agile and quick. he also said your body doesn't care if its a heavy weight or lighter weight pushed more times to failure.
I was just wondering peoples thoughts on this. I always wonder what some stars in the spotlight do cause I would emulate it since I don't know what the heck im doing and don't have the patience for trial and error.
