Weight training a bruises?

Ok maybey this will sound crazy but this happens to me every time I work legs intense. I worked legs on Sunday, upped the weights alittle and had a great intense workout, then woke up monday morning to find bruises on my quads. There is nothing I can think of to explain these bruises.

None of the exercises that I did had anything resting or bumping on my quads. And the bruises are in the exact same place on each leg. I don't recall bumping into anything either.

Does this happen to anyone else? Is it possible that it is even a result on someting I am doing in the weight room. ?

And if not does anyone have a clue as to what could cause this other than the fact that I must be sleepwalking looking for peanutbutter late at night:p lol?

Any help will do.

love

I feel it's pretty safe to assume you're not getting drunk every night looking for peanutbutter. ;)
Are you taking an ECA or something else that thins you blood?

The only thing I am taking now is melatonin, AFC/NYC, and P7. I was thinking maybe a blood vessel busted or something, but it is crazy that it is both legs:rolleyes:

I don't have a clue what causes the bruises but I'm having the same thing lately after working out. Not only on my legs but on my arms too. I've been working out for years and can't remimber ever having this before. Maybe diet related?

Hey Love. I had alot of bruising before and still do sometimes .... Eat more green veggies and take in some Vitamin K to help it go away.

I dont know why it is caused but it happend to me also!

i would have this happen from time to time, and it typically happened in some of the machines where you have your body resting against something during a lift. you don't notice you are doing it probably because you are focused on your task. take note of where that spot is on your body and where it is during each of your exercises, i'll bet you will figure it out.

I get that too, the brusing mostly when i do a leg work out or when I run for long periods of time on the tread mill. It actually got so bad that I decided to do some other form of cardio, because my legs were looking pretty battered up.
I asked my doctor about it, he didn't seem very worried though.
So i guess it's ok.

Vitamin C deficiency. Vitamin C helps iron absorption. I forgot WHY this causes bruising, I only know that it does. I always know when I need to up my C because of random bruises on my legs. The worst was once BOTH my glute cheeks had HYUGE bruises from ALP. It was actually pretty funny.

Thanks all for the reply's.

Bikinimom, how much vitamin C should a woman be taking? Right now I am taking 1000mg. Should I up this?

I had to give my legs a rest I think I was working them too much. So I took one whole week off of lifting and running or jogging. I think I am over working my legs, if there is such a thing. I love working legs soooo much I think I tend to go overboard. The same with back. I will have a sit down and redo my split, I may have to seperate quads and glutes. It is like when I get in there to do legs I keep going and going and going, lol....

Thanks everyone
