whenever i get depressed i go to gym and lift very heavy and long time until i almost faint (dizziness. vision getting darker . feeling like vomiting.) around 2 to 3 hours. after work out my hands and muscles get fucked so much that i cant even move it. it gets difficult to hold my 2 litre water. and i cant raise my arms and cant take my clothes from wardrope. i rest for 10 minutes then i can move my hands etc.. currently i am very depressed and i wanna lift everyday this intense and literally make myself suffer and feel relaxed

i want to hurt and punish myself without hurting me. i eat whatever i hate that is healthy. do whatever i hate that is good for me like studying. and i drink water until i cant take it anymore .

so in short the question is : is it ok to overtrain? will it burn my muscles if i get enough protein carbs and sleep ? any benefit or harm doing it ?

Dude I handled my depression the same way, spending 3-4 hours in the gym going all out 6 days a week.

Make sure you train a different muscle group each day if you're insistant on training like that, and you have GOT to eat. ALOT. And get plenty of sleep.

It's NOT okay to overtrain, but I am a strong believer that you can't really overtrain a muscle in one day, the reason being that I get great results the way I train. The thing you have to worry about it underrecovery. So if you tear the shit out of your chest one day, the next day needs to be legs or something. If you hit the same muscle groups two or 3 days apart from eachother, yeah, you're gonna over train, you're body's gonna get weaker as opposed to stronger, and you're gonna feel like shit. I know what it feels like to overtrain, it's not a good feeling. But I feel energized as fuck the way I train now and I average 3 hours a day.

Lay out your routine maybe we can help make sure you aren't hitting muscle groups too close together bro.

Hey I know what it feels like to be depressed and feel like you're at rock bottom. Hang in there man. Honestly working out is without a doubt what saved me from my problems. I think it's a great way to deal with it

sounds to me like you need more hobbies.

feeling dizzy and like you want to throw up is a sign of low blood sugar. make sure you are eating during that time. you need some carbs during your workout or your blood sugar will crash.. are you overtraining? yes you are.. is it bad? maybe. just depends. if you keep pounding away over time you will develop nagging injuries. why not workout an hour at the gym, then go for a bicycle ride or go fishing.. find another hobby as well.

Man you're working out 3 days a week and your routine looks solid. If you're doing monday, weds, and friday, in my opinion (and I know some guys might disagree) I seriously don't think you're overtraining.

The dizziness, as stevesmi mentioned, is a little concerning. It could be from malnourishment. If you work out for 2-3 hours you gotta fuckin eat like a monster man. If I ever go over 3 hours I will break at hour two and eat a snack that has fruit, veggies, fats, carbs, protein, all that. The only reason I ever get dizzy is right after a set of extremely intense exercise but it goes away.

I highly reccomend eating every 2-3 hours and each meal needs to be very well rounded, nutrient dense food and have carbs, fats, and protein

I agree with NOfatchicks. If this is what you are actually doing, it is great. My concern is the stuff you are adding. How long are you doing that stuff. Also, how many weeks are you into the SL 5x5's and did you start with an empty bar, and are you adding 5 pounds every day you do an exercise. If your following those guidelines, including how to back off when you can't get 5 reps on all 5 sets, I'm liking the routine.

Are you experiencing the negative stuff because of cardio you are adding?

And like everybody said, balanced life, and strict, big, clean diet.

I do the same thing. Train till I taste battery acid in my mouth and want to throw up when I'm out of it. Self destructive by nature but at least we are kind of helping our bodies...

its the work out i am supposed to do but i usually do much more . after i finish that plan i continue with isolation. when my bicep cant work anymore i switch to triceps . when triceps are done i do shoulders. and during tuesday and thursday i do everything that is not on the plan. crunch push up cable kettlebell anything i can think of

i do exactly the plan at first then i continue with isolations. i work on muscles that can still be used until i work every muscle and cant do any other exercise or when i feel like fainting and cant recover after resting 5 minutes. then i stop work out
