Just the other day a fella (that I have had my eye on for a few months tee-hee) came up to me as I was doing my cardio (45 minutes walking on the treadmill 3.5 speed at 5 incline) asked me if I didn't feel like I was wasting my time going so slowly... I NEVER RUN! (Unless of course, there is a MAJOR sale at the Gap, then I have been known to pick up my pace a bit - LOL!)
I told him that I had 11 weeks to drop a few bf%... I needed to protect my lean mass as THIS IS WHAT FUELS MY METABOLISM.
I asked him, "Don't you want to get any bigger?"
This guy has a great upperbody - forearms are lacking but he is tall and from the thickness of his wrists and ankles it would take a TREMENDOUS amount of effort for this guy to have tree trunk legs, etc..... HAVING SAID THAT - this guy is lean, granted ...but his legs ARE SKINNY!
I realize that not EVERYBODY wants to compete, but how about aesthetics?
I was trying to imply with my question about his size.... doesn't he want his legs to be MORE IN PROPORTION with his upper body?
Truth is, I KNOW how hard it is to put size on your legs... been struggling myslef for some time and I am SHORT!
Now that I have strayed.... what I was trying to say is that while this guy is lean - of course, he is lean he does A LOT of MAJOR CARDIO! But if he would cut back.... his legs would not be so torn down, they would grow and he wouldn't HAVE TO DO SO MUCH CARDIO!
Lift with intensity and your muscles will grow... and you will become leaner because of this!
I only do cardio WHEN I ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO! I have not had ANY difficulty maintaining 14/15% with ZERO CARDIO! Yes, I had to bulk a few times to get this mass.... am I hyuge? NO - not be any stretch....
LISTEN TO NEW! She KNOWS WHAT SHE IS TALKING ABOUT! Stop consuming yourself with getting lean. If you would just eat big and clean - hit the weights hard - you would be sooooo much happier - I PROMISE YOU!
