Whats everyones opinion on having a split with shoulders and arms on their own days.
For example: Chest, Back, OFF, Shoulders, Arms, Legs, OFF,.
It seems to be a favorite among Pros, but how is it for the Natural bodybuilder? Overtraining? While it may not be overtraining, the triceps and shoulders are hit 3x per week. So strength gains might not be as strong as on another split.
The other split would be anything where the arms are split.
For example: Chest, Back/bis, OFF, shoulders/tris, legs, off
Shoulders and Tris are hit only 2x here.
The reason I am asking this is because for my next bulk I need to do a new split. I tend to notice whenever I do a split like the second example, my arms end up lagging or just not getting as big as they could.
The first split is hitting everything hard. Although strength gains might not be as constant or as much since the shoulders and tris are being hit 3x per week. You are also hitting shoulders and tris on back to back days, assuming your following the split: chest, back, off, shoulders, arms, legs, off
